| Ann Wilson, the legend. The singer-songwriter who founded the band Heart will be unveiling what I can only imagine will be an extraordinary look into her remarkable life in a new feature documentary called “IN MY VOICE.” In Ann’s own words, this film will share her amazing 75-year journey—from a childhood on the move, to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages, and now heading into an inspiring new creative chapter. With commentary from family, friends, fellow artists, bandmates, and industry professionals, the documentary explores what truly defines Ann Wilson’s authenticity. The film dives deep into Ann’s personal archive of home movies, photographs, journals, and never-before-seen footage. For the first time, “IN MY VOICE” will take us on a journey through Wilson’s life and artistry. Fans will hear her story of how she found her voice, nurtured it over five decades, and let it lead her through the heights of fame, the depths of adversity, and the courage of reinvention. “This film is my story in my own words, told the way I’ve always wanted to tell it,” says Ann. “It’s about finding my voice, keeping it alive, and sharing the journey with the people who’ve been part of it all along.” Directed by Barbara Hall, a Prime-Time Emmy®-nominated producer and director known and respected for her passion for remarkable human stories and music, has been developing, producing, and directing original programming, for more than 25 years. She has built her lifes work on realness, and depth in her stories, led award-winning specials, series, long-form documentary films, concerts, and thematic music documentaries, and is also known for securing rare, exclusive rights to bring untold narratives to life. Hall is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Guild of Music Supervisors, and the Documentary Producers Alliance, and she has also recently been honored with the 2025 Women In Film/Nashville Alice Award Trailblazer Award. “What an honor to tell the story of one of our greatest rock music voices of all time,” says Hall. “Her voice notwithstanding, her story exceeds a scriptwriter’s imagination, and her courage to share her story is inspiring.
