There’s nothing quite like the excitement of attending a live show, especially when it includes not just one, but two incredible artists. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing a performance that featured Edwin McCain and the ever-popular Train. This show experience was beautiful and had a blend of nostalgia and artistic talent that left both the audience and me in awe.
Edwin McCain kicked off the night. McCain’s voice is nothing short of mesmerizing. I found myself transported back to my adolescent years as he performed his beloved hits. There was a certain magic in the air as everyone sang along, especially to “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More.” I might have even teared up once or twice but shhhh. Edwin and his band managed to create a space filled with smiles, joy, and even some teenage heartbreak memories.

Then came Train. As a surprise, Butch Walker joined them on guitar. In my opinion, Butch is one of the best singer, songwriter, musicians of our time! I could barely control my excitement to photograph him.
Pat Monahan, the lead singer of Train, showcased his charisma and stage presence. He took the audience on a personal journey through all their songs, weaving in popular classics alongside deep cuts that only die-hard fans would recognize. The way Pat engaged with not only the crowd, but the whole band, could put a smile on anyone’s face. At one point, he even sang without a microphone, creating an intimate moment that left the entire venue in silence. A couple actually got engaged during “Marry Me” and he stopped the show to congratulate them. That was such a special moment.
As the night ended, I found myself sad that it was over, but filled with gratitude. This event was not just a concert; it was a celebration of music and memories.
