There’s no other way to put it – YUNGBLUD is a visionary. The global sensation and creative enigma has released his version of the hit song “Changes,” recorded live from the original band Black Sabbath’s farewell concert aptly named “Back to the Beginning” at the emblematic Villa Park in Birmingham, U.K. The twenty-seven year old Brit has taken the rock scene by storm, and performing with legends like Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne) and II (Sleep Token) is no small feat. Not only did this show bring back years of memories and create new stories for fans to tell for years to come, it also has achieved the incredible feat of becoming the highest grossing charity concert of all time.
You can watch the official recording for “Changes (Live from Villa Park) Back to the Beginning” below or listen here. All proceeds will be donated to the organizations: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
A die-hard fan himself, YUNGBLUD was emotional about the performance, saying “This was hands down the biggest moment of my entire life. I got to stand on stage and honor one of my heroes, and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.” The sentiment was validated by Ozzy Osbourne himself who later said “[YUNGBLUD] did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.”
The farewell show also had performances by other legendary artists like Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Metallica, and Pantera. Guests like Billy Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith also made appearances through the show. For fans who weren’t able to attend live in concert, the feature-length concert film is currently in production and will make its theatrical debut in early 2026, so all can enjoy and bask in the legacy of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.
