FKA Twigs is back after a momentous tour for her third studio album EUSEXUA and is unstoppable, already coming through with her new single “Perfectly.” The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Jordan Hemingway and is a stunning portrayal of the themes that the album encompasses – ranging from intimacy and vulnerability to physicality and freedom. Fans got an early taste of “Perfectly” at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and LadyLand in New York City during the “EUSEXUA Tour.”
What is EUSEXUA? An original term coined by twigs, she says it represents “the moment before an orgasm,” a moment of “pure nothingness but also purse focus in a state of eusexua.” She goes on to say that the album is “a love letter to how dance music makes [her] feel.” EUSEXUA has received praise from a well-deserved plethora of outlets including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vulture, and Variety and was awarded a Best New Music stamp from Pitchfork. It is unsurprising that the album has already been included in many mid-year roundups for albums to pay attention to from Rolling Stone, Variety, NPR, Harper’s Bazaar, and many more.
