Chris Stapleton “Bad As I Used To Be” from F1® The Album

Supercharged companion album to Apple original films’ high-octane, action-packed film “F1® The Movie” features 17 massive new tracks from exhilarating lineup.

“One of the most high-profile soundtracks of 2025Billboard

“In F1’s soundtrack, Atlantic Records promises a high-rpm joyride for the ages, and they have yet to build a car that can get us to premiere day fast enough”—Rolling Stone

Atlantic Records is revving things up with the latest drop from F1® THE ALBUM — The all-star soundtrack to Apple Original Films’ flick “F1® THE MOVIE,” starring Brad Pitt.

11-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton is officially in the mix with his new track, “Bad As I Used To Be,” out now. You can pre-order F1® THE ALBUM today, with the full release hitting stores and all major streaming platforms on Friday, June 27 — the same day the movie comes out in theaters worldwide.

Before Chris Stapleton’s “Bad As I Used To Be” hit, F1® THE ALBUM was already gaining momentum. It started with GRAMMY®-nominated producer/DJ Dom Dolla’s “No Room For A Saint” featuring Nathan Nicholson — his first soundtrack release. Billboard called it a “speed demon of a track,” with a slick, ’80s-inspired sound that landed it on their Best New Tracks list.

Then came ROSÉ’s “Messy,” a ballad that quickly drew praise from critics. Billboard highlighted it as a “must-hear,” and the song dropped alongside a music video featuring ROSÉ and exclusive scenes from F1® THE MOVIE with Brad Pitt and Kerry Condon. The video even shut down the Las Vegas Strip during filming. Video Here

Don Toliver and Doja Cat followed with the lead single “Lose My Mind,” produced by Ryan Tedder and built around a sample of Hans Zimmer’s F1 Movie Theme. It arrived with an equally cool music video. Rolling Stone called the track a standout and suggested this could be the film soundtrack of the year, while Billboard described it as a “shimmering, synth-drenched club track” that highlights both artists’ strengths.

Dom Dolla, ROSÉ, and Don Toliver were among the names who showed up for the recent F1® THE ALBUM experience at the 2025 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX. The event took place inside a VIP Paddock just steps from the official F1 team garages, where fans got an up-close look at a full recreation of APXGP’s garage — the fictional team from F1® THE MOVIE.

The activation featured racing simulators, interactive games, movie props, and a peek at the album itself. Guests also got surprise visits from cast and music stars like Kerry Condon, Jerry Bruckheimer, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Roddy Ricch, Myke Towers, and Burna Boy.

The names above the drivers’ garages were swapped out for those of the artists featured on the soundtrack. And to top it off, Tiësto made F1 history by becoming the first artist ever to perform from the bridge over the grid before the formation lap — and again from the podium after the race. The weekend blended music and motorsports like never before.

From the label behind hit soundtracks like Barbie The Album, Twisters: The Album, The Greatest Showman, Suicide Squad, and more, F1® THE ALBUM is bringing brand new tracks from a stacked lineup of superstar artists. Expect music from Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, RAYE, Burna Boy, Roddy Ricch, Chris Stapleton, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Myke Towers, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, and plenty more. Check out the full tracklist below.

ABOUT F1® THE MOVIE

From Apple Studios and the team behind Top Gun: Maverick comes F1® THE MOVIE — a high-speed, adrenaline-fueled ride starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski.

The story centers on Sonny Hayes (Pitt), a former F1 prodigy from the ’90s whose career was cut short after a major crash. Now, decades later, he’s drifting from one race to the next when his old teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem) — now running a failing F1 team — convinces him to come back for one last shot at glory. Sonny’s new teammate? Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), a young rising star who’s not here to play second fiddle. As the season heats up, so does the tension — because in F1, your biggest rival is often the one in the garage next to you.

The film also stars Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and was shot during real Grand Prix weekends for maximum authenticity. The screenplay comes from Ehren Kruger, with a story by Kruger and Kosinski, and a powerhouse production team that includes Jerry Bruckheimer, seven-time world champ Lewis Hamilton, Pitt himself, and more.

Backed by Apple Original Films, and featuring stunning visuals from Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda and a score by Hans Zimmer, F1® THE MOVIE hits theaters and IMAX nationwide on June 27, 2025 — and rolls out internationally starting June 25.

ABOUT CHRIS STAPLETON

Chris Stapleton, born and raised in Kentucky, is one of the most respected voices in music — and with 11 Grammys, 19 CMAs, and 21 ACM Awards under his belt, it’s easy to see why. He’s in the middle of another big year, recently picking up ACM Male Artist of the Year and a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for “It Takes A Woman,” off his latest album Higher. The record, produced by Dave Cobb, Morgane Stapleton, and Chris himself, features tracks like “White Horse” and “Think I’m In Love With You,” and has earned spots on year-end best album lists from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Esquire, and more.

Critics can’t stop raving — Rolling Stone called Higher “dazzling,” while The New Yorker praised Stapleton’s rare ability to blend country roots with wide-reaching appeal. GQ summed it up best: “In an age rife with division, he’s maybe the only thing Americans all agree on.”

Known for his powerhouse live shows, Stapleton is currently out on the road for his All-American Road Show tour, including two nights at Madison Square Garden. He’s also been busy collaborating — teaming up recently with Post Malone (“California Sober”), Dua Lipa (on a live version of “Think I’m In Love With You”), Slash, George Strait, and lending his voice to the Tom Petty tribute album with a cover of “I Should Have Known It.” He even returned to SNL for his third musical guest appearance and famously performed the national anthem at Super Bowl LVII.

Beyond the music, Chris and his wife Morgane run the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, supporting causes close to their hearts.
