Anees, with opener Joseph Solomon, played in Cleveland, Ohio, at the House of Blues this past Tuesday, May 20. The night was full of great vibes and great music.
Joseph Solomon got the night started with his smooth, soulful jams. Joseph’s stage presence was probably one of the most chill and effortless I’ve ever seen or felt thus far. The moment he started singing, I felt like the crowd could drop their shoulders instantaneously, and everyone’s worries just went out the window. We all were in the moment with him, just vibing and enjoying music together. The way that he engaged with the crowd and got them to participate in a few of his songs was so seamless. During his performance, you can just see how much love he has for his craft. He set the rest of the night up so perfectly, getting everybody ready for Anees.
While the crowd waited for Anees to take the stage, you could feel the anticipation and excitement in the air. As I stood among them, I looked into the audience and noticed the wide variety of fans, ranging from young to old. This diversity is a testament to his music’s ability to reach different walks of life and bring people together for his shows.
When the moment finally came, Anees and his band took the stage, immediately captivating the audience. Throughout the performance, there was an indescribable bond between Anees and the crowd. During his set, he mentioned that his goal was to make eye contact with everyone in attendance, which I found truly special. While this may be part of an artist’s role, witnessing him actively connect with his fans was something remarkable. Anees played several favorites, including “My Girl,” “Sun and Moon,” and my personal favorite, “Goodbye.”
Anees and Joseph Solomon are on the road together for the last two weeks of Anees’s tour. I can’t recommend enough to go see them live. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
