Moses Sumney collaborates with Paramore’s Hayley Williams for the first time on “I Like It I Like It” released May 8, 2025 — a smooth, genre-crossing track that blends Sumney’s moody textures with Williams’ sultry vocals. The track was written by Sumney and was co-produced with Quickly Quickly, and Rob Bisel (SZA’s “Kill Bill”), and captures the flutter of an angsty crush in slow motion.
“Hayley and Paramore underscored a large part of my anxious youth,” Sumney shares. “So when I was writing this song about having an angsty crush on someone, I knew there would be no better person to sing it with than the queen of yearning.”

The single follows Sumney’s February release “Hey Girl(s)” featuring Syd and Meshell Ndegeocello, and builds on the momentum from last year’s Sophcore EP. Meanwhile, Williams returns to the spotlight fresh off Paramore’s Grammy win for This Is Why, continuing to expand her sonic world. The release also coincides with Sumney’s upcoming stage debut in the Public Theater’s “Twelfth Night” in Central Park this August, starring alongside Lupita Nyong’o and Sandra Oh.
