Indian folk metal band Bloodywood has announced their second full-length album, “Nu Delhi,” set for release on March 21, 2025 through Fearless Records.
For this heavy-hitting group, 2024 was the year they made the world stop in its tracks and take in their unique sound. Not only did they announce their signing to Fearless Records and release their song “Nu Delhi“—an homage to their background and their home city of New Delhi, India—their song “Dana Dan” had a feature in the blockbuster film “Monkey Man,” directed by and starring Oscar-nominated actor Dev Patel.
Fortunately, 2025 has already proven that their rise to success is only the beginning. Accompanying their album announcement is their latest single, “Tadka,” cleverly titled after an Indian cooking method in which spices are heated in hot oil or ghee to create a more robust, aromatic flavor.
This track is just as enticing as the food featured in its music video. Intricate guitar riffs and powerful screams blend with traditional Indian instruments and lyrics that highlight a deep appreciation for culture.
“This is a never-ending love story that connects an entire nation,” the band states. “From the fanciest fine dining restaurants to the simplest road side stall, everyone brings something magical to the table, but the undisputed champion of the cuisine is the Indian household kitchen. When you fuse these recipes and techniques with the love of an Indian family home, the result is unbeatable.”
The full track list for the album includes:
- Halla Bol
- Hutt
- Dhadak
- Bekhauf
- Kismat
- Daggebaaz
- Tadka
- Nu Delhi
In support of their new album, Bloodywood will also be hitting the road for their highly anticipated EU/U.K. headlining tour this February, with additional dates, including a U.S. tour, planned for later this year.
