Synth-pop duo Magdalena Bay has been releasing single duos for the last couple of months and leaving fans guessing. Since the release of their extremely acclaimed album Imaginal Disk, Magdalena Bay has been out on the “Imaginal Mystery Tour,” selling out venues all over the world.

Starting in September, the duo released “Second Sleep” and “Star Eyes;” then “Human Happens” and “Paint Me A Picture” in early October; “Unoriginal” and “Black-Eyed Susan Climb” in late October; and finally, as the last singles from the group, “This Is The World (I Made It For You)” and “Nice Day” on November 14.

These singles have elements of everything that makes Magdalena Bay so great: funky synths and instrumentals, interesting lyrics, and something different in every song. All four double singles are available individually in 7” vinyl, as well as a deluxe box set containing all songs; order HERE.

The “Imaginal Mystery Tour” is continuing across the globe. I attended the tour’s Detroit date in May 2025, and I can promise this is not a show you want to miss. The duo recently announced an album film to accompany Imaginal Disk, which is coming soon.
