Wound up at Wednesday at Majestic Theater Detroit by holdin’ on

Nov. 16, 2025 – As a long time fan of Wednesday, their new album Bleeds has been on repeat for me since it came out. Songs like “Wound Up Here (By Holdin’ On),” “Wasp,” and “Pick Up That Knife” have become some of my favorites of 2025.

This was my first time seeing Wednesday live, and it was easily one of my favorite performances I’ve seen this year. They opened the night with “Reality TV Argument Bleeds,” playing a great mix of songs from the new album and hits from their previous ones, such as “Hot Rotten Grass Smell.” The live instrumentation and Karly’s vocal performance were nothing short of incredible.

A standout moment for me from their performance was the attention to detail in the stage design. Dolls were placed on every piece of equipment and around the stage, along with lamps and other décor, which complemented their music in a perfect way.

It was clear the Majestic Theater crowd has been waiting to see Wednesday live. The energy was high all night and fans sang every word. “Elderberry Wine,” the lead single of their latest album, was a standout for the crowd. If you have yet to get tickets for this tour, do not miss out.

The opener, Daffo, set up for Wednesday’s performance perfectly. It was an amazing performance, with fans in the front row head-banging and singing to their entire set.
