Duff McKagan‘s new live album and full-length concert film, LIGHTHOUSE: LIVE FROM LONDON, is out now. The 19-track release available in multiple formats, including digital, CD Digipak, and a CD + Blu-ray Digipak, features the live audio and the complete LIGHTHOUSE: LIVE FROM LONDON concert film, 2LP 180g Black vinyl, with gatefold sleeve and ticket replica, and limited edition 2LP 180g Black vinyl, with live audio, complete concert film, gatefold sleeve, and autographed ticket replica signed by Duff.
Recorded and filmed on October 5, 2024, during his sold-out “Lighthouse Tour ’24,” at London, England’s historic Islington Assembly Hall to an absolutely packed venue, the live recording sees McKagan and his band deliver a dynamic set featuring songs from across the iconic musician-songwriter’s storied career, including standout performances of tracks from his critically acclaimed 2023 third solo album, LIGHTHOUSE.
The “Lighthouse Tour ’24” saw McKagan rockin’ sold-out venues across North America, Europe, and the U.K., backed by his powerhouse band – guitarist Tim DiJulio, guitarist/keyboardist Jeff Fielder, bassist Mike Squires, and drummer Michael Musburger – with longtime collaborator Martin Feveyear handling live sound. Recorded and mixed by Feveyear, LIGHTHOUSE: LIVE FROM LONDON captures high-energy live versions of McKagan favorites like “I Saw God on 10th St.,” “Lighthouse,” and the fiery “Chip Away,” a track personally admired by Bob Dylan, plus blistering takes on The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” The Crickets’ “I Fought the Law” by way of The Bobby Fuller Four and The Clash, and the Guns N’ Roses classic “You’re Crazy.” To top it off, LIGHTHOUSE: LIVE FROM LONDON features a special guest appearance from Sex Pistols co-founder Steve Jones, as he and longtime friend – and fellow Neurotic Outsiders bandmate – McKagan team up for some truly once-in-a-lifetime performances…including unforgettable renditions of Johnny Thunders’ “Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory” and David Bowie’s “Heroes,” the latter now streaming on McKagan’s official YouTube channel.

LIGHTHOUSE: LIVE FROM LONDON kicked off earlier this year with the release of its first single and video — a powerful live version of the fan favorite “Longfeather.” That was followed by “Fallen Ones,” and now “Just Another Shakedown” is up on YouTube. Each track proves how effortlessly McKagan’s new material comes alive on stage. The studio versions shine on LIGHTHOUSE, but these live cuts bring an extra edge and energy, adding a whole new dimension when played in front of a crowd.
For over four decades, Duff McKagan has been a relentless creative force — diving into countless bands, tours, collaborations, writing projects, and a growing solo career that’s given us standout albums like 2019’s Tenderness produced by Shooter Jennings and 2023’s introspective Lighthouse. Starting out at just 15, McKagan cut his teeth in influential punk bands like The Vains (1979) and The Fastbacks (1980), setting the stage for everything that followed. The Living (1982), The Fartz (1990), 10 Minute Warning (1993), and Loaded (1998), along, of course, with his historic role as founding member of both Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver.
In addition to his prolific musical efforts, McKagan is the New York Times best-selling author of 2011’s It’s So Easy: And Other Lies and 2015’s How to Be a Man: (And Other Illusions), and the co-host, with Susan Holmes McKagan, of the popular Three Chords & The Truth radio show, airing in North America on Sirius XM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard (Ch. 38).
