Nov. 9, 2025 – My second time around seeing Scowl live was nothing short of a memorable experience. A last minute venue change from the Majestic Theater to The Magic Stick in Detroit allowed real crowd interaction from all the bands in the lineup.

Scowl, the California-based hardcore band, has been one of my favorite acts to follow. Lead singer Kat Moss puts on an incredible show, and makes the people in the audience feel seen in the process. Their music is emotional, lively, and fun, and when I saw I had the chance to catch them on a joint headline slot with Sunami, I knew I had to see it.

This lineup was incredible: one of my personal favorite bands, One Step Closer, Whispers, and Detroit hardcore band D-Bloc were also on the ticket. Fans were going crazy the whole show, stagediving from the start of the show to the end. This was one of the most fun shows I’ve had the chance to attend. If you haven’t gotten tickets yet, be sure to — this isn’t a show you want to miss.
