Rising country star Max McNown shines in Vevo DSCVR

Vevo, the world’s leading music video network, just released Max McNown’s latest DSCVR performance of “Forever Ain’t Long Enough,” from his album Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up). The new video follows McNown’s previous DSCVR session featuring “Better Me For You (Brown Eyes).”

A rising voice in the folk and singer-songwriter world, Max McNown is known for crafting emotionally resonant songs that speak to shared human experiences. His story is one of resilience and self-discovery: inspired by his brother’s battle with cancer, McNown left his small Oregon hometown, busking on the San Clemente Pier before making his way to Nashville. Within a year, he had gone from performing on the street to achieving Platinum certification with his breakout hit “A Lot More Free.”

The spotlight for McNown is just getting brighter. Vevo’s DSCVR series is dedicated to championing emerging artists through live performance content and curated editorial support. With a long history of helping new voices reach broader audiences, Vevo continues that legacy through its partnership with Boost Mobile — sponsor of McNown’s performances and several other DSCVR sessions that integrate Boost branding across the Vevo platform.

Notable DSCVR alumni include Megan Moroney, Ella Langley, and Tucker Wetmore. Through these sessions, Vevo remains committed to spotlighting artists early in their careers, creating one-of-a-kind visual content that brings their music to life and introduces them to new fans around the world.

Filmed at Vevo’s New York studio, McNown took the DSCVR stage for an intimate, stripped-back performance of his standout track. Blending modern charisma with a folk-inspired soulfulness, McNown’s warm tone and heartfelt delivery capture the spirit of his songwriting. Max McNown’s “Forever Ain’t Long Enough” performance feels honest and effortless, with his voice front and center over simple guitar accompaniment by his bandmates Ethan Luck and Lee T Baker. The stripped-down setup keeps the focus on his warmth and emotion, making the song feel even more personal and heartfelt.

Now, with the deluxe release of Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up) — led by the reflective “Forever Ain’t Long Enough” — McNown continues to evolve as an artist and storyteller.

“Even though Night Diving was the length of a full album, in my heart it never felt complete to me,” McNown shared. “All of these songs were written in the same time period, and my intention was always to have them be one body of work…Since my first EP I’ve been on the hunt to find myself as a musician, and with this album, I’ve officially made something that fully represents me, both sonically and in my songwriting.”
