The man that doesn’t apologize | grandson at The Royale in Boston in early November 2025

Somewhere in a distant universe, Halsey and Blackbear had a baby together. That baby grew up to be a rockstar, and he is no doubt grandson. If you don’t know the guy who makes it clear that Conservatives don’t like him, then get to know him, because he refuses to be censored and will not be going anywhere.  With sharp-edged lyrics engrained in music for the voices that don’t have one, grandson’s energy is unparalleled.

Just like his no-filter attitude, his performances are full of unfiltered energy.

On the surface, Jordan Edward Benjamin seems like the usual breakout musician. Dropping out of school because it just wasn’t for him, dropping a hit single – “Blood//Water” – signing to the major label Fueled by Ramen in 2018, and then the happy ending: world tours and sold-out shows. But not all musicians, as everyone should know, are typical.

In his past, he dealt with mental health issues such as bipolar disorder, lack of impulse control as a young man, mood disorders, and some substance abuse. (Credit: Check Your Head Podcast)

But that’s not what was important at the Royale on Thursday, November 6, 2025. What was important was having fun and making memories, and not what was happening outside the four walls. grandson doesn’t stand for disrespecting or making others feel uncomfortable. He stands for people to raise their voices, and this was evident in his energetic performances that night.

You could feel it in the air. grandson was nothing but magnificent.
