Following standout releases like “Slicked Black Hair,” “Ghost on the Radio,” and “Could You Love Me?,” the newest track gave his audience another glimpse into the world of the debut LP, which was released on October 14 on all streaming platforms.
Following the song being teased on Instagram and TikTok in September, elijah stirred a wave of anticipation with fans urgently waiting for it to be released. Already four JUNO Award nominations, multiple platinum and gold certifications, and five EPs released in the past three years, his rise is just beginning to be nothing short of extraordinary. Now, with a new single already garnering attention on all streaming platforms, he is set to make an even greater impact on the music industry.
“‘I Miss You’ is about holding on to hope when love feels uncertain—that late-night belief that if we just keep trying, we can find our way back, it’s emotional, but ultimately about faith in connection.” -elijah woods
Originally based in Ottawa and now based in Los Angeles, elijah has become known for vivid storytelling with crisp production and irresistible hooks. Balancing raw emotion with magnetic pop energy, he’s amassed over 1 billion streams to date, built a global following, and sold out headline Canadian and Asian tours. He has even performed at major international festivals and been a centerpiece as an opener for Niall Horan. All as an independent artist.
As of two weeks ago, the Can We Talk? LP was released to all platforms. With the masterpiece built all on his own in every thinkable way… He reflected that “it nearly killed me” to make the LP, as he stated on his socials. The result of the LP was years of darkness, marrying his best friend, living his dream, moving to a new country, and ultimately finding himself.
“Making this album helped me grow and understand in a new way. I am so proud and endlessly grateful that I get to make things.” -elijah woods (via YouTube)
