After two years away from the spotlight, Lewis Capaldi has returned to the stage with his recent U.K. arena tour. During this tour, he debuted his upcoming EP, Survive, to be released on November 14. It will consist of four songs, all exploring different feelings of love and loss. The title track “Survive” will be accompanied by “Something In The Heavens,” “Almost,” and “The Day That I Die.”
The title track was released earlier this year and features the raw and deeply personal emotions we are used to hearing from Lewis. It has quickly become the U.K.’s fastest selling single of the year and his sixth number one on the U.K. Singles Chart. The singer has since performed the powerful ballad on multiple occasions, including “Good Morning America,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and Glastonbury.
In September, the second song on the EP, “Something In The Heavens,” was released. The tender piano ballad tells a story of loss and the hope of reuniting with those we’ve lost. Soon after its launch, it became Lewis’ tenth U.K. Top 10 single. His most recent release was “Almost,” a post-breakup anthem which explores the feelings that come with trying to move on. Lastly, “The Day That I Die” has yet to be released but has already brought fans to tears during the live performances on his U.K. tour.
