- Nightmare Before Christmas: I am a Tim Burton girly. I will forever defend this film being both a Halloween and Christmas watch. I love the animation style, the storyline, the characters, the music; it’s just the complete package.
- Ready or Not: I think this is just a fun suspense film where the plot is almost too silly to be real, but it’s also just enough to make it all believable. If you’re not familiar, it’s basically a killer version of hide-and-seek.
- Hocus Pocus: This is also a watch that I think just completes the holiday and is just such a great movie that’s perfect for the whole family!
- Scream: I watched it for the first time this year and I’m definitely going to need to watch more of this franchise. Everyone in the movie is also incredibly dumb, making them susceptible to the killer without really realizing it.
- Heart Eyes: A recent release and a slasher rom-com, which just makes it even better, in my opinion. Super fun, cheesy watch with all the blood and gore – what more do you need?
Honorable Mentions: It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and The Shining.
