Jonah Kagen announces the headline Sunflowers & Leather Tour – pre-sale started Tuesday, Oct 7!

Following the release of his biggest album of the year, Savannah, GA-native Jonah Kagen announced his headline “Sunflowers & Leather” tour. The pre-sale for the tour kicked off on Tuesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the local pre-sale started on October 8 at 10 a.m. local time, the Spotify pre-sale started on October 9 at 10 a.m. local time, and finally the general on-sale begun Friday, October 10, at 10 a.m. local time. The 32-date tour will start in Indianapolis on January 20, 2026, then hit a few iconic American venues like the Bowery Ballroom in New York on February 4, Basement East in Jonah’s hometown of Nashville on February 12, and Los Angeles’ Troubadour for two nights on March 9 and March 10.

Released earlier in October, the tour is in celebration of Jonah’s debut album, Sunflowers and Leather, written and recorded following a year on the road living in an Airstream that doubled as his recording studio that is recognized by critics including Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and others.

Kagen partnered with acclaimed visual creative David O’Donohue (Noah Kahan, Lainey Wilson, James Bay) on a 16mm documentary, Sunflowers and Leather: The Field Guide. The journey in the film inspired the record capturing Jonah’s travels from South Carolina to Montana. Weaving in the landscapes, solitude, and resilience that shaped the album, fans can experience the full documentary with highlights, behind-the-scenes photos, and unreleased footage at www.jonahkagen.com/slfieldguide.

“Sunflowers and Leather is a snapshot of my mind at this point in my life. It’s an investigation of all the questions and existential wonders that live with me, and it’s documentation of my search for meaning, purpose, identity, and faith.” – Jonah Kagen

With over 500 million global streams and almost 6 million monthly listeners, the title of the debut album was inspired by a line from “Matches,” “When I die, I want my life to look like sunflowers and leather,” that captures the duality at the heart of the record. For Jonah, “Sunflowers” represents beauty and joy, while “Leather” speaks to pain and grit, both of which he believes are essential to the human experience. This same balance runs through songs like “The Reaper” and “Burn Me” (featuring Sam Barber),” which wrestle with mortality, faith, and inner conflict, while others lean into love and connection. The album captures Jonah’s signature mix of intricate guitar work, honest lyricism, and a voice that makes every song feel intimate yet sweeping.

Most known for his breakout single, “God Needs the Devil,” you can now see the upcoming star at select venues and states below.
