The theme was ’90s at Asbury Lanes as three iconic bands – Sponge, Local H, and Everclear – took the stage before a sold-out crowd.
Fans of all ages gathered, sharing their favorite ’90s memories and preparing for a night filled with the familiar lyrics that had once defined their high school experiences.
Sponge kicked off the evening, showcasing hits like “Plowed” and “Molly.” The band brought an energy that quickly had everyone singing along. The stage presence of all pulled us right in, and the band made sure to meet all of their fans for photos after their set! They had so much joy that I cannot wait to see them again. They truly love all of their fans.
Following Sponge’s set, Local H took the stage. Of course, when they sang “Bound for the Floor,” the whole crowd sang along, and it was clear that Local H was still as loved as ever! They did not miss a beat and you could tell how much they still love what they do.
The night ended with Everclear’s performance, solidifying the event as a highlight of the concert season. Art Alexakis, the frontman, poured his heart into the performance, bringing to life classics like “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine.” His delivery resonated deeply with all. The crowd sang in unison, a soothing yet powerful chorus that echoed throughout the venue.
