Geese headlines a sold out show at Majestic Theater in Detroit

Oct. 13, 2025 – Geese has been the band to watch for a while now, and has been absolutely blowing up since the release of their third album Getting Killed. Following the release, they headed out on the “Getting Killed Tour” with Racing Mount Pleasant and made a stop at Majestic Theater.

Geese has been one of my personal favorite bands since the release of their first album, Projector, and has continued to grow and put out phenomenal music since then. Seeing them live did not disappoint. The set opened with “Husbands.” The band played a good portion of the new album, including singles “100 Horses” and “Taxes,” and closed with “Trinidad,” which the crowd went absolutely crazy for.

Headlining a sold-out show at The Majestic is a big deal— the venue was absolutely packed and the crowd sang along to every song. The front row was full of fans dancing and singing, some of which were even wearing crocheted goose hats.

The opener, Racing Mount Pleasant, is another personal favorite of mine. Their latest self titled album has received a massive amount of critical acclaim, and for good reason. They were incredible live.

Seeing the live instrumentation of some of my favorite songs, like “Mysterious Love” and “2122” was amazing. The complexity of the band’s music and hearing it live is something you do not want to miss.
