A NIGHT OUT IN NYC: WATERPARKS TAKES THE STAGE AT LE POISSON ROUGE

Waterparks lit up New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge this past Tuesday night with a show that fans won’t soon forget. By the time doors opened, a steady stream of people had already filled the venue to the brim. Just half an hour before the band even took the stage, the place was packed wall to wall. Everyone from kids attending their first concert with their parents to longtime fans and even grandparents made up the eclectic crowd, united by their shared love for the band.

The energy in the room was undeniable. Conversations buzzed throughout the venue; some fans gushed about how this was their first Waterparks show, while others proudly counted it as their 10th. No matter how many times they’d seen the band live, it was clear that everyone was equally hyped for the night ahead.

As soon as the band hit the stage, the crowd erupted. The opening notes of their newest track, “Red Guitar,” sent fans into a frenzy. People were jumping and screaming, and almost immediately, crowd surfers began making their way toward the stage. So many, in fact, that there was barely any moment when someone wasn’t being passed overhead. The intimate size of the venue made the whole experience feel electric. You could see on the band’s faces just how much they were enjoying the chance to play a smaller, more personal show for the first time in years.

One of the night’s biggest surprises came when frontman Awsten Knight announced they’d be playing “Little Violence,” a deep cut from their debut album Double Dare. The crowd lost it. The song has been a fan favorite for years, but this marked its first ever live performance—something that instantly made the night feel even more special and a highlight that people won’t forget.

If you missed this show, don’t worry, Waterparks will be back in New York on November 18 at the Brooklyn Paramount. Judging by Tuesday’s show, it’s definitely not one to skip.
