With this album coming out in December—an early Christmas gift—the “Post Traumatic” music video came out on September 20, giving a taste of what to expect from the new album. The music video was directed and edited by Jeremy Brake, making it so worth watching. It gives such a calm visualizer—it suits the music so perfectly.

This is definitely different from what Stay the Course usually does. It’s more of a calming ballad with the acoustic, rainy, dark setting. Originally, “Post Traumatic” was not supposed to be on the album until guitarist/vocalist Colby Mann sent the demo to frontman Joseph Meador, making it a last-minute single a part of the album. I’m glad this decision was made.

Stay the Course formed back in 2015, with Joseph Meador starting it as a solo project. As time went on, the solo project turned into a band lineup. Their sound sometimes gives an early 2000s emo/pop punk vibe but with a modern 2025 twist.

Over the years, they have been releasing singles and EPs, but in March 2025, the band signed with Punkerton Records.

The band’s stars are Joseph Meador as lead vocalist and founder, Colby Munn as guitarist and vocalist, Jeremy Brake on bass and vocals, and Alonso Garcia as the drummer. With these four guys from Wichita, KS, making it big with their hard-edged vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and intense drums, this band is definitely worth listening to.

Go follow and listen!!! You won’t be disappointed !!
