Alter Bridge, the acclaimed rock band known for their powerful sound, is back with “Silent Divide,” the first taste of new music in over two years.
“Silent Divide” serves as an introduction to the new era of Alter Bridge. Right from the start, listeners are greeted with the signature guitar tones that Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti have perfected over the years. The track builds beautifully, with rhythm from Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips joining in to create a compelling soundscape. The haunting chorus, led by Kennedy’s powerful vocals, grips the listener with the lyrics, “Keep your head down, ride out the silent divide,” resonating deeply within.
With the single’s release, Alter Bridge has unveiled an entertaining music video that blends humor with nostalgia. The video kicks off with a comedic skit featuring Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips calling Kennedy’s mom to get the band back together while he lounges in her basement. This playful scenario transitions into a performance by the band in a small room, reminiscent of their humble beginnings. The video, directed by JT Ibanez, captures the essence of camaraderie and creative evolution that Alter Bridge embodies.
With a rich history spanning over two decades, the band continues to stand strong in a rapidly changing musical landscape. Their upcoming self-titled album, set for release on January 9, 2026, is a testament to their enduring legacy in rock music. The album has 12 brand-new tracks, including highly anticipated numbers like “Rue The Day,” “Disregarded,” and “Scales Are Falling.” Fans can expect these tracks to hold their own alongside their classics, ensuring that the band’s newest work will impress both long-time fans and newcomers alike.
The band has announced a U.S. headline tour, named the “What Lies Within U.S. Tour,” which will feature performances from either Filter or Sevendust, along with Tim Montana as support in select markets, and offers fans an opportunity to experience the band’s new material.
