‘I’m Only F**king Myself’ marks Lola Young’s most honest album yet

On September 19, Lola Young’s new album I’m Only F**king Myself was unveiled to the world via Island Records. The 24-year-old British singer-songwriter has had a whirlwind year leading up to this release, finally earning the recognition she deserves.

I’m Only F**king Myself was crafted between New York’s legendary Electric Lady Studios and Rue Boyer in Paris, alongside longtime collaborators Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC. This body of work feels like Lola’s most honest and raw project to date, diving into themes of sex, addiction, toxic love, self-destruction, and the fragile hope of redemption. “This album is me — no filter, no skin, just raw nerve endings,” she says. And we can feel it.

Ahead of the release, Lola dropped four singles —  “One Thing,” “Not Like That Anymore,” “d£aler,” and “Spiders” — which received monumental praise from fans, amassing around 119 million streams on Spotify alone.

To complement the music, she also shared visualizers for each single on YouTube — an artsy and striking way to introduce the album to the world. Experiencing each track visually allows us to step deeper into her universe and understand her vision on another level, from sharing a quiet breakfast in the intro “how long will it take to walk a mile,” to playfully interacting with an iconic London red phone booth in “Penny Out of Nothing,” to being buried in a pile of white powder and desperately digging herself out with a shovel as a metaphor for addiction in “who f**king cares?.” On top of that, she released full music videos for “One Thing,” “Spiders,” and “Not Like That Anymore” in the past few months. Lola has built an entire universe — and we’re lucky enough to step inside it.

The future looks busy for Lola. After her set at All Things Go Festival, she’ll embark on her U.K. and North American headline tour to close out 2025. Following a short break, the world tour will continue with dates across South America and Europe. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to catch her. More details are listed below.
