Young Miko becomes the first-ever Puerto Rican CFDA ambassador at New York Fashion Week live at Rockefeller Center

GRAMMY-nominated global sensation Young Miko made history last night at the second edition of NYFW Live at Rockefeller Center, becoming the first-ever Puerto Rican ambassador for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She joined CFDA CEO Steven Kolb, Thom Browne, Anna Sui, Michael Kors, and Anna Wintour in welcoming guests at the opening cocktail reception that officially launched New York Fashion Week—attesting to her rising influence in the fashion world.

As a CFDA Ambassador, Miko is celebrated for her fearless approach to style and her ability to redefine fashion on her own terms, while simultaneously performing globally, merging her music, Latin culture, and fashion. She joins a distinguished group of ambassadors this season, including Anok Yai and Peso Pluma.

Styled by LUAR, Young Miko wore a structured brown longline jacket with sculpted shoulders layered over black shorts and sheer tights, finished with pointed knee-high boots and understated accessories for a look that embodied modern power dressing with a deconstructed twist.

The milestone follows a wave of achievements for the 27-year-old artist. She was recently named a finalist for Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Earlier last week, she was also announced as part of the lineup for the 15th edition of Colombia’s Estéreo Picnic Festival 2026.

With each move, Young Miko continues to affirm her position as one of the most magnetic voices in global pop culture and as an artist whose authenticity, vision, and genre-bending artistry are shaping a new era for Latin music and fashion alike.
