?Wildflowers bloom again?-Celebrating 30 years of Tom Petty’s classic album

Released in 1984, Tom Petty gifted the world with his second solo album, and first album with Warner Bros. Now, three decades later, fans are filled with excitement as Wildflowers blooms again. Tom Petty’s spirit lives on through every song! ?

So, what things are coming with the 30th anniversary of Wildflowers? There will be a a special One-Step Vinyl being released on October 10 of this year. As a gift to many Tom Petty fans, never before seen – it’s been hidden in the vault for 30 years – behind the scenes of the tour and rehearsals on BluRay. A documentary of the Wildflowers album will also coincide. This will be released on September 12, showing a 30 minute interview with Tom Petty himself, outtakes, and four music videos originally featured in the Wildflowers & All The Rest project. Last, but not least: a limited edition book. The book will come with some cool things from guitar picks to tour passes to exclusive art prints, which I think is pretty cool.

Now, I have some fun facts about this album up my sleeve, and here they are: This was Tom Petty’s first album working with Rick Rubin, which is something Tom will always cherish. As said before, this was his first album with Warner Bros. Tom Petty won a Grammy a year after Wildflowers came out for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.

It’s been nearly nine years since we lost this legend, but he and his music still live on through fans, family, and friends. If you haven’t listened to Wildflowers — or even to Tom Petty at all — stop what you’re doing and go give it a listen. He’s one of my favorites, and still a favorite to so many others.
