A Good Rogering is back and better than ever! The “Overcome” music video came out back on June 20 – I love the beginning of it, with the acoustic guitar and voice giving me Led Zeppelin vibes. As the song goes on, it gets more energetic with the riffs and vocals.
A Good Rogering is a band from Austin, Texas, formed by vocalist and guitarist Skunk Manhattan. Their inspiration for music was from artists like Type O Negative, Metallica, The Beatles, and more. The band came out with their first album, Long Overdue, back in 2010. A Good Rogering then came out with their second album, Lifeblood, and followed up with their third in 2013, Systematic Paralysis. After that, the band came out with some singles and EPs, the last one being back in 2021, before they took a little break. Then, as of June 20th of this year, they came out with their single “Overcome,” proving that they’ve still got it!!
The band shared their excitement about being back and doing what they love the most. Even better, their original bassist returned and made an appearance in the music video. The music video has some pretty cool effects thanks to their videographer. My favorite part was the vocalist surrounded by the lightbulbs.
