On August 13, 2025, Pierce the Veil‘s song “So Far So Fake” broke into Billboard’s Hot 100! “So Far So Fake” comes in at No. 88 with 45 million streams, beating their other famous song, “King For a Day.” Their monthly listeners skyrocketed from 5.8 to 8.2 million monthly listeners within weeks!
The Jaws of Life came out in 2023, including singles like “Pass the Nirvana” and “So Far So Fake.” The album came out after seven years of fans waiting, wondering if Pierce the Veil was going to make a comeback or not. To get fans hyped about the album, they returned to tour, helping I Prevail headline their “True Power” tour. I had the opportunity to go see my all time favorite band for the first time, and – let me tell you – they brought the energy like they hadn’t been away for over half a decade.
Pierce The Veil started back in 2006, featuring Vic as lead vocals and guitarist, Jaime as bassist and back up vocals, Tony as lead guitarist, and their former drummer Mike. That same year, Pierce the Veil came out with A Flair for the Dramatic – personally one of my favorites.
Fast forward to 2016, the band dropped their fourth album Misadventures, followed by a world tour that kept them busy for a while. Pierce the Veil then decided it was time for a much needed break. 2020 came, and it was a tough year for everyone. TikTok was a place to discover and rediscover music. In 2020-2021, their song “King For A Day” blew up on TikTok, nearly a whole decade later. After that, 2023 came around and they released their album The Jaws of Life.
If you haven’t listened to their album The Jaws of Life, I recommend doing that now – you will not be disappointed.
