Florence + the Machine, the English indie rock band led by frontwoman Florence Welch, has announced their sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, due out October 31. The album’s title track, along with an accompanying music video directed by Autumn de Wilde, are available for streaming now. Written and produced by Florence Welch in collaboration with Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner of The National, and Mitski, Everybody Scream is said to “tread through womanhood, partnership, aging, and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane,” themes that emerged after a life-saving surgery during the Dance Fever tour led Welch toward “spiritual mysticism, witchcraft, and folk horror” as she grappled with the limits of her body and the meaning of healing.
