X Ambassadors to release ‘VHS(X)’ on Aug 29

X Ambassadors, blending rock, pop, and soul, formed in Ithaca, NY, in 2009. Lead vocalist Sam Nelson Harris, keyboardist Casey Harris, and drummer Adam Levin comprise the band. Their two massive hit singles, “Renegades” and “Unsteady,” drove over 1.6 billion streams, fueled their 2015 platinum-certified debut album, VHS, and launched them on a three-year world tour.

The band will celebrate the 10th anniversary of this successful album by releasing a reimagined version, titled VHS(X), on August 29, and launching the “VHS(X) Tour.”

The trio has already released the first single from the 10th anniversary album, titled “Renegades (rerecorded).” This fresh take on their breakout 2015 hit, presented from Sam’s point of view, represents something “scrappy and authentic” about the band.

“After I sent it off to Alex the day I wrote it, I didn’t think about it at all. But over the years, as I’ve witnessed how much it’s meant to so many people, and the doors it opened for me and the band, it’s grown on me.” -Sam Nelson Harris

On September 2, X Ambassadors are taking the stage for a thrilling North American headline tour, igniting crowds in major cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and Boston, culminating in a grand finale in Atlanta on September 27.

More than just an anniversary, this tour promises a powerful celebration of a decade-defining album and an emotional return to their roots, with two unforgettable hometown shows in Ithaca, New York.
