This past week, I had the pleasure to capture a few legends on the stage: Def Leppard. It was a typical summer night in New Mexico, hot, with thunderstorms circling the area, but the concert was blessed with perfect weather. As the show clock counted down, the crowd was filing in, finding their seats, and many were singing along with the music blaring over the speakers. It was a sea of Def Leppard T-shirts, from old vintage shows to new ones purchased that night. The fans were so excited to see what this show would bring, and they were not disappointed.
Def Leppard, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, have been bringing rock to the world since 1977, originating out of Sheffield, England. Lead singer Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage’s vision has produced an arsenal of hit songs that goes on and on, and they never disappoint their listeners. With 11 studio albums, they have brought hit song after hit song to the world.
With Joe Elliott lead singing and Rick Savage on bass, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell on guitar, and their famous one-armed drummer Rick Allen, it was impossible to bring anything more to their concert. The crowd went wild; there was dancing and singing to each one of their songs. This band has been through so much and they keep coming back better and better each year, bringing top-notch entertainment during every concert. There is no sign of them stopping touring at this point. It was a pleasure and honor to capture this show.
