Two decades ago, a group of Tennessee youngsters took their first major step into the music industry. On July 26, 2005, Paramore released their debut album, All We Know Is Falling, which introduced them to a growing fan base that would eventually span the globe.
Late last month, the band marked the milestone with a special deluxe edition of the album. For the first time ever, fans can stream The Summer Tic EP, a 2006 CD-only release, now bundled with the debut record in one digital package. Listen here.
From that first release, Paramore’s rise was steady and powerful. Their 2007 breakthrough album Riot! brought the now-iconic, six-time Platinum single “Misery Business,” while 2009’s Brand New Eyes cemented their status in modern rock. In 2013, their self-titled album delivered “Ain’t It Fun,” which earned the band their first GRAMMY win for Best Rock Song. Later, 2017’s After Laughter showcased a bright, pop-inspired sound with the hit “Hard Times.”
After a long hiatus, they returned in 2023 with This Is Why, which became their most critically acclaimed release yet. Its title track hit No. 1 on U.S. Alternative Radio, topped charts in the U.K. and Australia, and won two GRAMMYs, including Best Rock Album, making Paramore the first female-fronted band ever to take home that award. Publications like Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Stereogum named it one of the best albums of the year.
The band’s influence has only grown in the streaming era, inspiring a new generation of artists while evolving from teenage outsiders to pop culture icons.
In December 2024, Paramore closed the chapter on their long-term contract with Atlantic Records, the same one they signed as minors, stepping into a new, independent era.
