Fleshwater announces new LP 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky, incoming September 5

Fleshwater to headline North American tour running from 9/17-11/1

On September 5, Fleshwater is set to release their highly anticipated album 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky on Closed Casket Activities (PRE-ORDER).

This album follows the band’s debut album, We’re Not Here To Be Loved, which was released in 2022. This album quickly gained popularity among the band’s fans and various other audiences, carrying the band as they toured across the U.S, Europe, the U.K., Australia, and Japan. This past February to April, Fleshwater opened up for Deftones alongside Mars Volta, joining both bands and touring around North America. Fleshwater also hit the road with acts like Harm’s Way, Modern Color, and Ingrown. As they performed, they started to build a reputation for combining heaviness with melody in a way that struck the heart’s and ears of many.

On July 29, 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky‘s first single, “Jetpack,” released, introducing a jam-packed music video filled with insane visuals, catching the eyes of those that watch it. The music video was directed by Eric Richter, who has also produced music videos for a diverse set of artists such as Knocked Loose, Dying Wish, HAARPER, Lorna Shore, and many more. Anthony Didio, guitarist/vocalist for Fleshwater, says it’s “…a really special song that takes me on an adventure every time I hear it. It was the main source of inspiration for this album and really encapsulates the entire vibe of it. I’m excited for people to finally hear it and have it take them on their own personal journey.”

Fleshwater truly is dedicated to producing a sound that will be loved and played by whoever comes across their music. They have produced music within multiple studios and settings to compile a sound that truly is addictive. Fleshwater tracked guitars and bass at God City Studio by Kurt Ballou with assistance from Zach Weeks, while drums were recorded by Kevin Bernstein at Mag Pie Recording Studio. Vocals were self-recorded by the band at home, before a final mix at God City Studios and a master by Nick Townsend of Infrasonic Studios. The album also features David Haik (Pianos Become The Teeth) on drums, whose session performance adds a totally different type of depth to the material.

Fleshwater is always pushing into new territory while also keeping the emotional weight in mind. 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky is a step forward, pushing into boundaries that make the band unique.
