Nashville, TN, August 1 – The Summer School Tour made it’s way to Music City on Friday night, bringing seven incredible acts to the Marathon Music Works stage. Joining the tour as a special guest is 23-year-old Chase Hudson – better known as Huddy. Once widely known as a TikTok star, Huddy is continuing to prove himself as a fast rising star in the alternative pop-punk scene. He’s now owning stages with high energy, live vocals, and a performance style that feels less like a persona and more like a breakout artist confidently stepping into his own.
The night kicked off around 5 p.m., with Huddy being the first of seven acts. As fans continued to arrive, Huddy came on stage, backed by his guitarist and drummer, lit up in moody yet vibrant lighting, and full of energy. He opened his set with his latest single “Vendetta,” setting the perfect tone for the next 20 minutes.
The setlist included five other tracks: “Fragile” (unreleased), “All the Things I Hate About You” (a 2022 breakthrough hit), “Partycrasher” and “The Eulogy of You and Me” (both from his 2021 debut album Teenage Heartbreak), and “Cyanide” (2024 collaboration with Palaye Royale). A personal favorite was “Partycrasher”— it just has a vibe that feels kind of nostalgic, yet chaotic in the best way. Hearing it live only amplified that.
From the moment Huddy hit the stage, he received a true Nashville welcome, a crowd that matched his energy from start to finish – whether they knew his songs or not. His stage presence and energy was through the roof— you could truly feel the passion and intensity in each song.
It may have only been a 20 minute set, but I believe he made the absolute most of it. After all sets ended, Huddy stuck around for a meet and greet, giving fans a moment to remember. It was a small yet genuine gesture that showed just how much he values those who support him. If you have the chance to catch Huddy live, I highly recommend it. You’re in for a great time. Huddy is proving to be one of the most compelling new acts in the alt-pop-punk scene.
