Madam Radar is explosive – live – at Haute Spot Cedar Park Tx

Madam Radar is an Americana rock band rapidly gaining recognition across the country. With extensive studio experience and consistently strong live performances, they are quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

They have shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Bon Jovi, Arc Angels, Lukas Nelson, Candlebox, 3 Doors Down, Hayes Carll, Jack Ingram, Shinyribs, Jackie Venson, and comedian Ron White. Their discography includes several studio albums produced by some of the industry’s best, and their latest release, Motel, is now available on all major streaming platforms.

This past Saturday, they played with Austin’s own Audic Empire – who I’ll be writing about in a separate post – at Haute Spot in Cedar Park, Texas, just north of Austin. I had the good fortune to photograph their shows. Over the past few years, I’ve also had the opportunity to capture Madam Radar live about five or six times at some of Austin’s most cherished intimate venues—spaces known for their vibrant atmospheres and engaged audiences. This gig was a bit different for me as a photographer — trust me, it is a lot of space, it was a workout, they were all over the place (haha I’m still recovering), and the crowd was hooked in, also totally absorbed. Such a great show!

Fronted by the powerhouse trio of Kelly Green (lead and slide guitar, vocals), Violet Lea (bass, vocals), and Jace Cadle (rhythm guitar, vocals), with Kody Lee driving the beat on drums, saxophone, and vocals, Madam Radar is a compelling force in the scene.

Each member contributes a distinctive and carefully crafted approach to their songwriting and performance, blending their voices and musicianship into a dynamic, high-energy sound that’s both deeply soulful and undeniably uplifting. They’re a band with staying power—one I hope to hear more of for many years to come.
