Oasis mania is officially back as the band made an exhilarating return to Manchester in front of 80,000 adoring fans at Heaton Park. The band will go on to play a total of five shows at this emblematic venue, performing in front of a combined total of 400,000 people over the course of the residency.
Fans traveled high and low to come see their favorite band make the return they have been praying for, trekking from all over the globe as far as Japan, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Australia to witness the homecoming of Oasis.
Every moment of the show can be etched into their legacy forever. The crowd went absolutely mental when Noel and Liam Gallagher took to the mic and acknowledged the hallowed grounds they were on, “This is the place”, Liam said. Football fans rejoiced when the band dedicated “D’You Know What I Mean” to the legendary Pep Guardiola – “I’d like to dedicate this next song to the greatest manager of all time.” Noel led Heaton Park in a roaring singalong of “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and Liam carried the energy into “Wonderwall,” reminding the crowd of the brothers’ love for them, “I adore you all.”
Transcending the tour itself, Oasis mania has also hit the nation. Three albums are currently in the Top 5 in the U.K. Official Charts and three songs are in the Top 20 of this week’s “Official Singles Chart.” It feels like we’re back in the ’90s with tracks like “Some Might Say,” “Live Forever,” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger” hitting new peaks and maintaining records like they have in the past.
The Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? will be released on October 3, 2025. The Complete Studio Album Collection box set will be released on August 22. You can pre-order both releases here!
