To celebrate three sold-out shows at London’s legendary Hammersmith Apollo last year, The Teskey Brothers dropped their new live album, Live At The Hammersmith Apollo—out today on digital, CD, and vinyl. The release follows hot on the heels of their biggest headline show yet, playing to over 10,000 fans at Alexandra Palace last night. That show marked the grand finale of a two-year, globe-spanning tour in support of their No. 1 ARIA-charting album, The Winding Way.

Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is a powerful deep dive into The Teskey Brothers’ soulful catalogue, featuring standout tracks from The Winding Way, a stunning cover of Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness,” and—for the first time on vinyl and CD—their early fan favorite “Forever You and Me,” with over 150 million streams.

“We always love recording to tape and we wanted to make this live album special, so we wheeled a big old tape machine into the Apollo for three nights. The sound is exactly what we wanted: a warm, lively snapshot of some very fun shows in London.” – Josh Teskey

Honoring the band’s deep appreciation for analogue recording, Live At The Hammersmith Apollo was captured entirely on tape—just as iconic live albums by Bruce Springsteen (’75), David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust, ’73), and many others were once recorded in the same historic venue. London-based producer and engineer Declan Gaffney, known for his work on live records by U2 and The Rolling Stones, was brought in to oversee the technical side. He set up a temporary studio behind the stage curtain, running tape through a Studer A80 borrowed from the nearby Metropolis Studios.

While the analogue setup evokes a sense of nostalgia, the heart of the album lies in its celebration of The Teskey Brothers’ magnetic onstage chemistry and dynamic interplay. Backed by a seasoned touring band—Olaf Scott (keys), Fabian Hunter (bass), Audrey Powne (trumpet), Nick Lawrence (drums), and Lily Shaw (sax)—the live recording captures the full power of the group’s performances, honed on the road since 2023.

Live At The Hammersmith Apollo marks The Teskey Brothers’ sixth album. Their most recent studio release, The Winding Way, debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart, took home Best Blues & Roots Album at the 2023 ARIA Awards, and was named Best Record of 2023 by Rolling Stone Australia. Off the back of that success, the band hit the road for a string of sold-out shows around the world and landed a prime 3 p.m. Sunday slot on Glastonbury’s iconic On The Other Stage.

The Winding Way followed the massive success of Run Home Slow, which reached No. 2 on the ARIA charts, earned three ARIA Awards, and saw guitarist Sam Teskey snag a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album. That record paved the way for global headline tours and built on the momentum of their 2017 debut, Half Mile Harvest. The album that introduced The Teskey Brothers as a modern soul outfit with a timeless sound and serious staying power.

Live At The Hammersmith Apollo is available to pre-order now on limited edition red & white marble vinyl, CD & digital services.
