311 unified Cleveland, Ohio

On Monday, July 7, fans from across Northeast Ohio packed into The Agora to witness a night of unforgettable live music as iconic alt-rock band 311 took the stage during their 2025 “Unity Tour.” With opening support from indie newcomers Sitting on Saturn and rising rockers Badflower, the evening was a showcase of both fresh talent and timeless sound.

The concert marked 311’s return to Cleveland in support of their latest album, Full Bloom, released in late 2024. The new record has been praised for combining the band’s classic genre-mashing style with a renewed energy—and that same energy was on full display at The Agora.

The show opened with indie rock band Sitting on Saturn, whose chilled-out sound and heartfelt lyrics immediately set a calming mood over the crowd. Though still building their fanbase, the band delivered a confident and polished set, showcasing their potential with standout songs: Crème Brûlée,” “Tokyo,” and Piece of Me.” With the crowd still warming up, fans were nodding along and pulling out their phones to record the set, all clear signs that this is a band worth watching.

Following Sitting on Saturn, Badflower took the stage with a completely different kind of energy. The Los Angeles rock group came out swinging with two new tracks from their recently released album No Place Like Home. Their sound was raw, emotional, and intense—driven forward by frontman Josh Katz’s intense vocals and the band’s powerful stage presence. When they launched into familiar songs like Paws and The Jester,” the crowd’s response was immediate. Fans sang along, fists in the air, completely locked into the band’s emotionally-charged performance, fully prepared for what the night had in store.

When the lights finally dimmed for 311, the energy inside The Agora reached a whole new high. Opening with Freeze Time,” the band came out strong and never let up. They quickly followed with Beautiful Disaster and What The!?,” reminding everyone why their mix of rock, reggae, hip-hop, and funk has kept them relevant for over three decades.

Nick Hexum and SA Martinez led the charge with high energy and seamless vocal interplay, while Tim Mahoney’s guitar solos, P-Nut’s bass lines, and Chad Sexton’s powerful drumming created a wall of sound that filled every inch of the venue.

The setlist balanced newer tracks from Full Bloom with the fan favorites everyone came to hear. Songs like Amber,” “Come Original,” and the legendary Down as the events finale turned the room into a giant singalong as everyone in the audience joined in. Even deep cuts and newer material were met with enthusiasm, showing the strength of the band’s loyal fanbase.
