Winona Fighter has unveiled a new acoustic version of their fan-favorite track “You Look Like A Drunk Phoebe Bridgers,” offering a fresh perspective on a song that’s become a highlight of their live shows.
First released on the Father Figure EP and re-recorded for their debut album, My Apologies To The Chef, the song has evolved through years of touring. The band wanted this acoustic version to reflect those changes, capturing a more direct and unfiltered sound.
“The vocals have no post production enhancements on them, the acoustic guitars were solely mic’d up by two microphones, and the drums are partially recorded through a garden hose,” explains frontwoman Coco Kinnon. “It inspired us so much that there may be even more coming down the pipeline.”
Following a successful U.K. headline run and a set at Slam Dunk Festival, Winona Fighter is currently on the second leg of their “Yes, Chef” tour, which includes sold-out shows in New York City and Chicago, plus dates in Boston, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and more.
