quannnic announces new album “Warbrained” due 8/22 & shares new single “Observer” with music video + tour announcement!

On June 20, self-produced, singer-songwriter quannnic announced a new album titled Warbrained, available on August 22 via deadAir. Additionally, with the announcement of their new album, the lead single “Observer” was shared alongside its music video. “Observer” gives a sneak peek into the future direction of quannnic’s sound, featuring heavy guitar riffs whilst still adding a fuzzy distortion; this track is sure to make you feel like you’re rocking out. With the dynamic production of the single comes the music video which was directed by Blindlight Co. x Midvessel. The music video showcases a twisted and uncanny vibe while blending into the aesthetic of an old VHS tape. It definitely is worth watching, especially since you will feel almost submersed in this world where nothing is normal. Across the ten tracks featured in Warbrained, quannnic delivers their sonically darkest album to date.

Four days after the announcement of Warbrained, on June 24, quannnic announced that they will be going on tour with special guest kmoe. The tour hits 20 states in the U.S. and Canada, starting this September in Miami, Florida. quannnic will also be performing at several festivals on this tour! *See tour dates below!*

Growing up in Florida, quannnic played countless shows with friends, leading them to discover their own genre-bending and noisy signature of homespun indie rock. Their debut album Kenopsia was solely released through their friend’s DistroKid account and Bandcamp and became a breakout moment for the then 19-year-old, who has since accumulated 157 million+ streams across their catalog. Over a year and a half after its relatively quiet release, the album cut “life imitates life” hit No. 9 on Spotify’s Viral 50 – U.S. and landed on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.

The same week that they hit their Billboard peak in 2023, quannnic released their sophomore studio LP Stepdream, self-engineered alongside Photographic Memory and Chris Gehringer. The single “South” featured a collaboration with Jeff Schroeder of Smashing Pumpkins, and the campaign coincided with their first tour: a co-headline run with label-mate Jane Remover. The success of both LPs led to festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Sick New World, and two tours as direct support for Shoegaze pioneers Slowdive.
