Slaughter to Prevail and BABYMETAL team up for new track “Song 3”

Two of the most powerful names in heavy music just dropped a fiery new collaboration.

Slaughter to Prevail and BABYMETAL have joined forces for “Song 3,” a powerful track that combines punishing vocals with soaring, melodic choruses. The track will appear on both bands’ upcoming albums: Slaughter to Prevail’s GRIZZLY (dropping July 18 via Sumerian Records) and BABYMETAL’s METAL FORTH.

Written across continents by Slaughter to Prevail’s Jack Simmons and Alex Terrible, “Song 3” got its final touch when it was sent to Japan, where BABYMETAL added their signature kawaii vocals. The song revolves around the concept of “3” — and yes, it’s as wild as it sounds.

As if that’s not enough, Matt Heafy of Trivium jumps in with a surprise shamisen performance that gives the track a unique twist.

The official music video tells a powerful story of transformation, following a younger version of Alex Terrible as he finds strength with a little help from BABYMETAL. “Song 3” follows the success of BABYMETAL’s recent collaboration with Poppy for “from me to u,” and Slaughter to Prevail’s viral hit “Russian Grizzly In America”—both of which racked up millions of streams in just weeks.

Watch the “Song 3” music video and stream the track now on all major platforms.

GRIZZLY is now available for pre-order in a variety of exclusive formats including CD, cassette, and vinyl (with wild splatter and picture disc designs). Check them all out HERE.
