Livingston Brings “The Story Continues” Tour to NYC’s Webster Hall

Lines stretched long outside of the East Village’s historic Webster Hall, buzzing with the energy of fans eager to see up-and-coming singer-songwriter Livingston. The Texas-based musician has been creating songs ever since childhood, using music as an emotional reprieve from the struggles of growing up, discovering inspiration and a love for songwriting in the process. His career took off in 2020 when his covers began to gain traction on TikTok; a few years and music releases later, Livingston released his first full-length album, A Hometown Odyssey, in 2024, and has since played to numerous sold-out crowds across North America and Europe.

Livingston’s powerful voice and soaring, larger-than-life choruses strive for self-actualization and connection with others. His music elicits the feeling of emerging from the dark, coming out of a shell; despite the big, reverberant sound of his songs, the lyricism remains intimate, words that sound like they were scrawled on paper under the glow of bedroom lamplight. On songs such as “Gravedigger” and “Last Man Standing,” Livingston stands firm through the ups and downs of youth and embraces the warm safety of love, crafting a story in which every hardship only serves to make him stronger and truer to himself. That confidence translates to a striking presence on the stage, as Livingston brought inspirational artistry and honest vulnerability to every song of the night.

From seasoned concert-goers to young fans at their first-ever concert, standing on tip-toes to see above the barricade, the excited crowd proved that Livingston’s songs strike the elusive balance between deeply personal and universally appealing. He took the crowd on a journey through his discography, playing familiar singles like “Half Life” and new tracks such as “Glow,” fans singing the words back all the way through.
