Honestav drops deluxe version of hara-kiri

Just when you thought hara-kiri had said all it needed to say, honestav is back with more. Today, the buzz-heavy alt artist unleashed the deluxe edition of his hara-kiri EP via Rebel Music / gamma, adding fresh layers to the already emotionally charged project.

To celebrate the release, honestav dropped a brand-new video for the track 26,” and it’s a chaotic, confetti-fueled ride. Shot in Springfield, Missouri, and directed by Nathan R. Smith, the video puts you right in the middle of a packed house party—think loud music, flying cake, and an energy that captures everything honestav represents: raw, real, and a little reckless.

The deluxe release follows his recent single “Livin’ Wrong,” which came with a heartwarming video filmed in his tiny hometown of Pierce City, Missouri. Over 350 fans turned up for the shoot, many of them lifelong supporters who’ve watched honestav’s rise from local shows to national tours.

Speaking of tours—honestav is currently tearing through the country on his headlining “No License Tour,” hitting cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Portland, and San Francisco, where he’s playing to sold-out crowds. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also opening for Limp Bizkit this summer on July 25 in North Dakota. Not too shabby for a kid from Pierce City.

But the most explosive moment came with the gut-wrenching track “I’d Rather Overdose,” where honestav reflects on the tragic loss of his father and brother. The song resonated deeply, earning 122 million streams worldwide, and its MOD SUN remix even cracked No. 21 on Billboard’s Alternative Chart, while also making appearances across multiple Hot Rock and Alternative categories.

If the deluxe version of hara-kiri proves anything, it’s that honestav isn’t done evolving. He’s not afraid to go deep, get loud, and take his fans along for the ride—whether that’s through grief, growth, or the madness of a house party at 26.
