To kick off summer, the 14th annual Montauk Music Festival has come to an end! Including over 50 artists and over 400 performances, this festival is an incredible experience you can’t miss if you live in the New York area.
The festival took place from May 15-18 at various venues and locations throughout Montauk with the chance to drink, eat and listen to free music. There is a large variety of music genres for everybody to enjoy.
Some popular notable locations to visit when at the festival are Shagwong, Montauket, Salivars and Montauk Brewing Company. These locations are extremely close to the beach and offer an amazing summer getaway.
Thursday, May 15, the opening party kicked off at Westlake Fish House. Over 20 of the artists performed a preview of what their shows will look like for the weekend. There were three different stages as well as drinks, food and over four hours of live music!
The main stage took place on Saturday and Sunday on the green located in the heart of the town from 11 am to 5 p.m. With two stages, the performances were quick and moved smoothly. There were 15 performances each day. Sponsors such as Dillion’s Small Batch Distillers, Nightowl Martini, and Montakila Tequila had their own tents.
A percentage of the proceeds went to Lucia’s Angels and East End Coalition for Women’s Cancers.
Many of the same artists return each year and build amazing connections with the fans and crew working. Some fan favorites include rock bands Alex Cano and Virginia Sweet, who have been returning to the festival for years.
Be sure to not miss the 2026 Montauk Music Festival and all the upcoming bands!
