In August, Vicious Rumors will release an album after five years from their last album, Celebration Decay. On May 8, 2025, they gave us their single “Bloodbath” to give us a taste of what the rest of the album is going to bring. Just by listening to “Bloodbath,” I can tell there is aggression and power in this song. 

As I have researched this band, Vicious Rumors has been around for a while. Vicious Rumors formed in the ’80s and debuted their first album in Soldiers of the Night in 1985. There’s something about the sound, the attitude, and the raw energy that brings a sense of nostalgia, even if I’m hearing it for the first time. Watching their live performances over the years, it’s clear: Vicious Rumors are still in love with what they do. You can feel the passion, the drive, and the pride they have in their work. After four and a half decades, they have no regrets—only more to give.

Vicious Rumors is going back to its roots with a powerful new album that captures the essence of their classic sound while introducing fresh energy to the mix. The band welcomes two new members who bring a dynamic edge, helping to inject new excitement into their music. With this release, the band proudly showcases where they’ve come from—while also revealing a bold new image that reflects their evolution.

Watching the music video for “Bloodbath,” Vicious Rumors delivers a brutal and visceral reminder that they’ve still got the fire. Since their last album, the band hasn’t lost a step. If anything, they’ve sharpened their edge, and this single perfectly showcases their relentless energy. I can’t wait for the rest of the album to be released.
