The title “Forever (71943509)” includes Fetty Wap’s inmate number from FCI Sandstone in Minnesota, where he is currently serving a six-year federal sentence. In support of his release, Fetty’s family has launched a Change.org petition in hopes of securing a presidential pardon.

“Forever” arrives during a major resurgence for Fetty, fueled by the viral revival of his three-time platinum 2015 hit “Again,” which recently hit No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 — driven by the wildly popular “Blasting Fetty Wap on the JBL Speaker” trend. The meme helped “Again” re-enter the Billboard Hot 100 and pushed Fetty’s self-titled 2015 debut album back onto the Billboard 200.

Known for his signature melodic delivery and charismatic presence, Fetty Wap has racked up billions of streams and views worldwide. His historic 2015 debut launched a string of hits, including the diamond-certified “Trap Queen,” the six-time platinum “679 (Feat. Remy Boyz),” the three-time platinum “Again,” and “My Way (Feat. Monty).” Fetty became the first artist in Billboard Hot Rap Songs history to land his first four charting singles in the top 10 simultaneously.

Fetty’s breakout success led to two GRAMMY® nominations, an MTV VMA win for Artist To Watch, and major accolades from iHeartRadio and Billboard. His widespread influence continued through collaborations with artists such as Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg, Sia, Fifth Harmony, and many more. His discography includes acclaimed projects like The Butterfly Effect (2021) and King Zoo (2023).

Over the years, Fetty Wap has delivered unforgettable performances on stages like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the BET Awards, cementing his legacy as one of hip-hop’s most distinctive voices.
