Hatebreed just celebrated its 30th anniversary last year with several tours, and now this summer the return of Summer Slaughter is back — bigger and better! Vocalist Jamey Jasta has quite the reputation with breathing life back into past festivals, including the Milwaukee Metal Fest, which starts in just twelve days. Milwaukee Metal Fest is how I discovered Hatebreed and Jamey Jasta. I am thrilled that they’re going on tour again so soon near me because I definitely need to catch a show.
Summer Slaughter tour will feature several other bands, each of them will be available at select shows, but not all of them. Each night will almost be different than the last and equally amazing.
Tour founder Ash Avildsen has mentioned how he’s wanted Hatebreed to headline this tour for so long and now it’s becoming a reality. It’s going to be a new era for this tour as both Jamey and Ash will be working together on making this happen. According to Jasta, it’s also been a while since Hatebreed has done a full U.S. tour, and he said this is a perfect step back into doing them. What more could you ask for?
It’s time for Hatebreed to shine. The tour kicks off on July 8th in St. Petersburg with support from Fugitive, Malevolence, Gridiron, Escuela Grind, and Incite. These are just five of the seven bands you could see open up the night. The tour will last three weeks and travel to select cities, so go check out where it’s coming near you. This is not going to be a show to miss. Check out the tour poster below for more details!
