On May 6, Testament stopped in Milwaukee for a special night of music at The Rave. There were no openers on the bill, just a night of celebration for the band’s big milestone: 35 years since the release of one of the band’s most iconic albums.
Dedicated fans were lined up for the show around 5 p.m., so by the time doors arrived at 7 p.m., the room already began to fill in. The spots along the barricade were claimed quickly by those who were eager to get the best viewing to the show.
By the time Testament took stage at 8 p.m., the room was tightly packed in. It was an intimate night for the die-hard fans to come party with the band. Between each song came short little snippets about the song or what the band was facing during that time. Vocalist Chuck Billy shared the story of his battle against cancer, which led to a short hiatus for the group. Despite the short drawback, it didn’t stop them, he came out stronger on the other side. It was a truly inspiring story to hear, and he never once gave up in the fight.
All throughout the night, the energy never died down as the crowd showered Testament with love. The audience was singing so loud, you could hear them just as loud as the band. There were several guitar solos as the band members showed off their skill and the people cheered. It was such a fun night to witness for the band and their fans ?
This tour is still currently ongoing so check out where it’s stopping in your city and hit up a show!
