Tom Odell is back with a first glimpse of new music: his latest single “Don’t Let Me Go” is out now—listen HERE. It drops alongside a brand new music video you can watch HERE.
The song taps into that gut-wrenching feeling of being stuck in an emotionally tough relationship. Tom describes it as capturing the sense that “almost every week, the world is ending in some capacity—which it is, for some people.”

A little backstory if you’re new here: Tom Odell is a British singer-songwriter who’s been pouring his heart into music since his school days. Originally a behind-the-scenes songwriter, he stepped up as a frontman when his band couldn’t keep a singer. After studying music in college, he took off on a decade-long journey that’s seen him top charts and win fans around the world.
Tom’s never really chased mainstream fame. “I never applied to the role of pop star and I always felt like I was being perceived in the wrong way” he says. Instead, he’s stayed focused on making honest, deeply personal music about mental health, body image, and everything in between. It’s this vulnerability that’s helped him build real connections with listeners all over the world. “It alleviates some of the loneliness of existing,” he says, a feeling a lot of us can relate to.
With multiple world tours under his belt, 29 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 14 billion career streams, Tom’s fanbase is only growing. His sixth album, Black Friday, made a huge splash, landing at number five on Spotify’s “Top Album Debut Global Chart.” The haunting title track has already clocked over 700 million streams since it dropped late 2023 release. Meanwhile, fans old and new are still spinning his breakout single, “Another Love.” The 2012 anthem found a second life on TikTok and beyond, especially as a symbol of support for Ukraine, racking up more than four billion Spotify streams alone.
Over the years, Tom’s become known for his raw, emotional songwriting about love, heartbreak, and self-reflection. He’s racked up a BRIT Award, an Ivor Novello, and praise from heavyweights like The Guardian, The Telegraph, Rolling Stone, The Evening Standard and The Observer.

Right now, Tom’s out on the road with Billie Eilish, playing select European arenas on her sold-out “Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour.” This summer, he’ll also join The Lumineers for a few U.S. arena dates on their “Automatic World Tour” before launching his own major international tours later this fall. You can grab tickets at tomodell.com (full list of dates below).
And with even more music on the way, Tom Odell’s just getting started. As a long time fan myself, it’s honestly so exciting to watch him keep evolving while staying true to what makes his music so special. His songs have always had this rare ability to hit right where it hurts but also make you feel a little less alone. I can’t wait to see what he creates next, and I have no doubt it’s going to be just as heartfelt, honest, and powerful as ever.
