Her sound is shaped by both the elegance of French chanson and the boldness of 80s pop, creating a unique space in contemporary French pop that balances nostalgia with a modern twist. Vendredi sur Mer’s music, paired with stunning visuals, has turned her into a standout name in the indie music world.
For the past few weeks, fans have been buzzing with excitement as Vendredi sur Mer continues to drop new songs, announce collaborations, and reveal tour dates.
On April 25, Vendredi sur Mer released her brand-new album, Malabar Princess. In addition, she’ll be bringing the magic of this new music to the stage during her upcoming international tour, which kicks off in May 2025. Check out the details below for more tour info.
Just last week, she dropped a beautiful track, called “Arrêter le temps,” featuring Sofiane Pamart. If you don’t know Sofiane, he’s a French pianist and composer who started his career very young. After his 2019 solo debut, he became known for collaborations, especially in French rap. His unique touch has contributed to many hit tracks. In 2022, he made history as the first pianist to sell out the Accor Arena. By 2024, he was one of the top three most-streamed classical artists globally.
The song brings an emotional punch with its piano and vocal duet, offering a refreshing change of pace on the album. The song feels like an open letter written by the two artists that’s sure to leave a lasting impact on listeners.

With Malabar Princess, Vendredi sur Mer circles back to the tenderness and nostalgia that first defined her. After the sharper edges of Métamorphose, she reconnects with a softer, more intimate sound, born during a writing residency in Montréal and shaped by a return to the Swiss mountains of her childhood, a quiet quest for self-discovery. Guided by Sam Tiba and new collaborators Adrien Gallo and Owlle, her third album feels warmer, more organic, and deeply personal. Malabar Princess is not just a project, it’s a confession, mixing vulnerability and raw desire into something achingly beautiful.
Following the release of “Hard” (feat. Hanni El Khatib) and “Tout résonne”—both featured on the album—Vendredi sur Mer announced an international tour kicking off in May 2025. More dates and info just below.
